It is reported that Apple is looking declining music sales and this alternative is best to fight this decline. Billboard claims that Apple is thinking to launch an iTunes store for Android users. Additionally, the same news also comes from Apple execs that Apple is discussing the opportunity of launching an on-demand streaming service with record label executives
Billboard reported, “Apple has opened exploratory talks with senior label executives about the possibility of launching an on-demand streaming service that would rival Spotify and Beats Music, according to three people familiar with the talks”.
He also added, “Apple is also thinking about adding an iTunes App for Android phones, the Google rival that has been growing faster than the iPhone, these sources said. The surprising discussions are part of a multi-pronged strategy to deal with the double-digit decline in U.S. download sales at Apple’s iTunes Music Store, the largest music retailer.”
By introducing on-demand streaming service helps iTunes more similar and excellent than platforms like Spotify that already have huge customer base. Presently, the huge popularity has been grown by on-demand music streaming services and it continues to reach on the peak. The iTunes for Android option makes change for Apple users, it proves to be accurate.
Currently, the iTunes Store is available on Microsoft’s Windows platform, Apple’s OS X and iOS. When someone asked Steve Jobs, the late CEO of Apple about bringing of iTunes to Android, he replied that he doesn’t see any advantage by introducing for Android. Furthermore, Jobs also said that iTunes on Windows was launched by Apple to sell more iPods.
It is expected that iTunes on Android would deliver advantages to Android users and Jobs doesn’t have interest to make Android users happy. Now, the situation turns in the new way and Apple is no longer skipping Android when it comes to develop iTunes. No stuff is confirmed yet, it seems to have possibility of iTunes app for Android.
