Coming Soon: Xbox Live On Android and iOS

Here is the big news. According to a report from The Verge, Microsoft, the leading giant, is taking Xbox Live cross-platform and allowing developer to incorporate the service in Android and iOS games. A job listing from the company’s website is citied by the report about the company seeking for engineer to work on “a modern framework that is open-source, lightweight, extensible and scalable across various platforms,” including iOS and Android.
Furthermore, the report also names its own sources recognizable Microsoft’s plans for taking Xbox Live cross-platform. Previously, Microsoft has already worked with bringing Xbox Live to leading giants, iOS and Android with its Wordament game, which is available at Google Play Store. Sharing some information about Wordament, it is an Xbox Live-enabled word game that played by players to compete against others on multiple platforms like Windows Phone, Xbox, iOS and Android. This game come from Microsoft, however, it is not surprising that it cooperates with the service.
Xbox Live will soon available to Android and iOS, planned by Microsoft that includes a lightweight tool for developers to use in their games or apps for interacting with their service. When implementing the service, the company provides more freedom and some restrictions. Google Play Games for Android has already added by Google with some similar Xbox Live features while Apple posses Game Center on iOS. So, Microsoft has to fight with both, which is not a bad thing at all. If nothing else, then Android users have an Xbox One, which is another ways to enhance their Gamerscore.
